It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry Edwards on March 26, 2018 at the age of 83.
Gerry left this earth a better place and he will be greatly missed by everyone. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. More info to follow.
Spring is coming!! Warmer weather brings out walkers, bikers and children playing outside. Please remember that the speed limit is 30 km throughout the park.
We have had a few new people move into our Community over the winter so we would like to extend a warm welcome to you all and we truly hope you enjoy living in the park.
Community Events:
The Town of Stony Plain will be holding its Annual Treasure Hunt again this year. This event will take place on Friday, May 4th – Sunday, May 6th followed by the Large Item Pick Up the week of May 7-11th. Check out the Stony Plain Reporter or the Town website at stonyplain.com for a complete list of allowable items. This is a great service that the Town offers and is a great way to clear away all the un-wanted stuff that we seem to collect. If you participate in the Large Item Pick-up your “stuff” has to be at the curb the morning of May 7th .
The 3rd Annual Community Garage Sale is back this year by popular demand. It will be held on May 26th. If you would like to participate let Vanessa know and she will add you to the list/map.
General Information:
We will be having the streets swept in the Spring so please remove your vehicles from the street. We will let you know closer to the day.
If you would like to receive these newsletters via email please let the office know at meridianmeadows@telus.net
We have noticed a lot of vehicles lately that don’t move from driveways. The vehicle must be currently registered and insured for it to remain on the lot. If the tires are flat please inflate them. We try really hard to avoid that “trashy” look.
On January 1st we sent out a rental increase notice that takes effect on June 1st, 2018. The form was to be signed and returned; if you have misplaced this form please let the office know and I will send out a new one. I have a list in the office who have not returned them yet. You do not need to bring in a new
VOID cheque as the new amount will be changed digitally on our end.
Complaints:
I hate to mention this again; Dog poop! Please pick up after your dog. Parvo is going around and believe me you don’t want your dog to get that!!
Cats: Please don’t let them roam the neighborhood…they will be trapped!
If anyone has a complaint please drop me a SIGNED note in the MM mailbox or phone me directly. Un-signed letters will not be dealt with.
In Closing:
February marked my (Vanessa) tenth year of working for Meridian Meadows and I must say that I have really enjoyed it here. I have met so many wonderful people and I hope that I will remain here for many more years to come. The people that come into our office looking for homes and telling us how wonderful our Community is just fills me with such pride. We feel so fortunate to have such wonderful people living here.
Thought to Ponder
Every newsletter I try to come up with some insightful though to ponder. I try to be inspirational and inspiring so this is what I came up with this time: “If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely”
This is what Derek came up with: If cotton shrinks in the wash, what happens to sheep in the rain!!! Too funny!</strong
